An average man’s lifetime risk of being diagnosed with liver cancer is about 1 in 94, and a woman’s risk is 1 in 212.
Liver cancer is most commonly found in people over the age of 50.
Symptoms for liver cancer include abdominal pain or tenderness, especially in the upper-right part, easy bruising or bleeding, enlarged abdomen, and yellow skin or eyes (jaundice).
Liver cancer is much more common in sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia than in the United States.
